The meaning or intent for a painting isn’t a fixed idea. The paintings meaning filters on to the canvas layer by layer. This is a process I love seeing and experiencing. It’s like the painting and I are playing at loving life and the creative process. The main focus for this still life painting is the kimono. I found the kimono at the goodwill and knew in an instant it belonged in a painting. To me the painting is about energy and the figure on the front of the kimono is teaching the viewer about how to use their energy wisely.
I like this quote: “Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. –Mahatma Gandhi  This painting is about learning to manage your own energies through how you think first and then when you observe the result of your thinking either embrace the result or try out new thoughts. This is a simple Law of Attraction formula:

  • Thoughts create actions
  • Actions create manifestation

Watch your thoughts and you will get more of what you want and less of what you don’t want.

Showing the mysteries of creating energy, think good thoughts, watch beauty manifest.”Your mind is a powerful thing. When you filter it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change.” Gautama Buddha
In the center of this painting is a woman smoking but that is an illusion she is really sending positive energy out to the world.
