#Why I pushed the button

There have been two times in my life when I pushed a button and knew it would change my life.

The first time was when I pushed the on button to see what the Internet was all about. I felt curious and skeptical  that at my fingertips I had the whole world .  Several hours later I found my self  up very late that night saying just one more search, and then another Just one more search. I could not believe that I could get all that information at home at what I thought was instant. To put this in perspective (At that time I had dial-up internet on a 350 megabytes hard drive)

The second time I felt my life was changing, was when I discovered the periscope app. The whole world opened up again but this time it was in real time and I could be an active participant. Things had changed from the days of dial-up and small hard drive space.

My reality had changed in an instant

I found myself watching

  • The lights go out on the statue of liberty
  • Seeing a panther up in a tree in Africa
  • Walking in Central park
  • Seeing time square in real time not just on the New Year.

I was hooked…I found myself watching less TV News when the exciting first hand news was happening in real time.

I started doing my art while watching and interacting with other artists on periscope. I found this relaxing and fun and I could ask questions and get immediate answers.

I saw that there were groups of people that were gathering in tribes and I picked mine

I wanted a group that shared great content with the intent of uplifting the world.

I wanted to be the change I wanted to see in the world.

I wanted to interact with people in a real way not the fake way where you rehearse what you are going to say and then make videotape about it.

I found myself pushing the button again and joined the Peri10K group.

With Peri10k I felt at home I was with  like-minded people all creating content around a common theme.

Whatever the activities of my day was, I found myself thinking of the theme and how it related to my life. I was focusing my energy into such questions as:

  • Feel the fear and do it anyway
  • You are Not alone
  • How to win friends and influence people
  • Happiness is a choice

The result was my energy was finding a new way to express itself around these themes that peri10K put up for our tribe to talk about every day!

I could feel my thought process shifting into a more positive flow that was solution driven not anxiety driven.

The little stuff was falling away and I liked the new Sandra.

I answered the Peri10k theme questions

  • in my mind
  • wrote blog posts about them
  • delivered my thoughts on Google plus and periscope
  • My life had taken on a new energy and I liked how it felt.

On periscope I found myself sharing genuine heart felt content and listening to others do the same.

I am thrilled to be part of this leading edge movement

that is bring the world closer.

This little app has a great heart.

Never thought I would say that about a piece of technology but her I am saying, I have found a bond with other people around the world in a real heart felt way.

I feel the humanity of people caring for each other when I listen to a scope or give one.

In conclusion,There is something about seeing people in their homes or in the world in a real setting like seeing a scope at the pyramids or seeing a scope as someone walks down their drive way that makes me see we need each other no matter where we are in the world.
